STUDY ABROAD CONFERENCE

CAMP’s annual Study Abroad Conference is a 3 week-long event where high school students, parents, and teachers are given the opportunity to learn the college application process in-depth and begin preparing for various requirements. At the virtual conferences held through Zoom, there will be live panels and keynote presentations ranging from college life abroad to Common Application tips. The conference is usually held in tandem with a college fair, where we invite university representatives from around the world to present about their colleges in case you’re looking for a place to start.

The 2024 conference will be held sometime in July-August 2024, as we just wrapped up our 2023 event entitled Pathfinder: Trekking to College. Check out the conference archives below, and stay tuned for the 2024 event!

WHY JOIN CAMP’S ANNUAL CONFERENCE?

Advice.

You will receive reliable advice from Filipino speakers and panelists who have undergone the rewarding process of applying and studying abroad in various continents.

Opportunity.

You will have the opportunity to uncover the technical aspects of studying abroad – such as letters of recommendation and standardized testing – through the expertise of a seasoned college counsellor and acclaimed SAT Center representatives.

Network.

You will access CAMP’s robust alumni network and build lasting connections by directly interacting with speakers and panelists in our live events.

Resources.

Through our daily College Fair, you will have free and exclusive access to college representatives and alumni from world-renowned universities.

Community.

By joining a CAMPamilya, you will receive hands-on guidance from your college ambassador – a successful study abroad candidate. You will also be able to navigate the conference and future college application process through the enduring bonds that you will forge with your fellow CAMPamilya members.

CAMPAMILYA SYSTEM

CAMPamilyas are unique communities of high school students with similar dream university destinations, school types, and college application statuses. Led by a college ambassador, each CAMPamilya will simultaneously view CAMP content specifically curated to match the group’s application process status. Each CAMPamilya session’s content viewing will be followed by facilitated discussions, allowing all members to ask questions and advice from their college ambassador and fellow groupmates. Additionally, each CAMPamilya member will have one scheduled 15 minute one-on-one talk with the group’s college ambassador during the conference.

Beyond personalized learning about the college admissions process, CAMPamilya groups are bonding experiences, helping you find a community of friends you’ll keep even after you finish applying to college!
